Pros: separate fenced in play areas for large dogs & small dogs; lots of shade provided during the summer heat in both of the dog play areas; many shade trees; there are water fountains & large steel dog water bowls in both play areas; there are usually lots of people & other dogs there to socialize with
Cons: the fence separating the large dog play area from the small dog area is insecure in some spots (a small dog could easily go under the fence & slip into the large dog play area if you aren’t closely monitoring your dog…which is a huge safety concern); there is virtually no grass in either of the dog play areas- there is only dirt, pine straw, & tiny pinecones spread throughout the ground, which makes it somewhat uncomfortable on your dog’s paws; bringing your dog to any dog park carries liability risks (your dog is at risk of being attacked or injured or even killed by another dog or vice versa); some dog owners are more...

What are we supposed to do with spigots that don't give water?
On this particular day, there was a lot of mud in one corner of the park. This is understandable. But, to keep the dogs out, they had strung rope across the corner... This does not keep dogs out. It merely gives them an obstacle to climb over on their way to a convenient mud-bath. How about some of that orange construction webbing, gang?
Otherwise, 4...

Also, a lady told me yesterday that the section the just fenced in has a gape in it large enough for dogs to fit through. Needless to say, I did not take my dog over to that section to check it out. It is on the far corner of the large dog park.
This is one of the worst dog parks I have seen. No substrate whatsoever. It is just a closed off section of dirt/mud. Dog parks in nearby counties are much better. Newtown is the shining star. Fake grass, a splash pad, and a few agility amenities would go...
