Was a fun family trip for October. Halloween is my favorite holiday and October is my favorite month. Beats even December. I've always loved pumpkin patches when I was a kid and was stoked to hear there was one near me here in Florida. By near me I mean an hour away. Lol. So no quite near me but it's all good. They have a 1 dollarbmilitary discount. There was a spider web rope climbing thing for kids. A small zip line. I seen lots of different age and size kids on it but it does have a 175 pound weight limit. There is food trucks there with lots if different choices. Even snow cones. :) a hay ride pulled by tractor. Even a train ride there. They have a sunflower patch that you can pick a sunflower. I believe it costs a dollar or something for a sunflower though. They have pony rides. A really big slide with tubes to ride down it on. There is a bunch of outhouses and a hand washing station by the slide. There is giant plastic pipe sections that kids can run in in a small section for them. A swing set. Sandbox filled with sand and some filled with corn 🌽 my baby really liked the corn box. Lol. The corn maze would have been fun to try but it was too hot outside to keep the baby out for that long. On a side not that I wanna mention there was an ox, I think it's called a Texas ox, but it had the biggest horns I ever seen. Was cool dude. My son liked the animals he seen. I give a 4 cause thw military discount could hardly make a difference in the price being that its only a dollar off. The amount of gnats flying around was rather annoying. A fair ammount of food litter on the ground from people chosing to not throw trash in the trash Bins. All the stuff they have sounds like a lot and sound overwhelmingly exciting but the experience was not as drop dead awesome as expected. Was a good family outing where the kids had a lot of fun but not worth a 5 star rating but a 4 is...
Read moreA nice outdoor farm area, great for families with little kids. Upon arrival we were directed to parking spots by workers. Then a short walk to a building to purchase your tickets, this building also has pumpkins for sale and jar goods like jams. At the checkout you could get wristband that included everything for $10, which included your tickets to get your pumpkins. We got the bands. Then we were offered a complimentary bowl of boiled peanuts in either regular or cajun, I got the regular and they were really good. The farm grounds had a lot of activities for the children to do such as: sand pit for scavenger hunting, swings, a giant spider web for climbing on, seesaw x 2, haystack with a slide, small pirate like wooden playground with a slide, a zip line, a small corral with 2 horses for horseback rides, a pony pulled cart for rides, bouncy saddles, peddle cart speedway, large balls to bounce against each other in, and more. They had vendors out there too - shaved flavored ice, cotton candy, and food truck with hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and more. The hayride I was told lasted about 20 mins and halfway you could get your pumpkins and pick sunflowers. We didn't go because several people saw huge spiderweb and I have a fear of spiders. There was also a corn maze that we were told took over an hour to complete, we didn't do that either. There was a sheltered area for respite and bathroom area. My 2 year old had a great time, but I think young children of any age would find a lot to do. Nice place for pictures. We ended up staying about 2 1/2 hrs. Great time! All the workers we interacted with were very polite and showed patience with...
Read moreI went here for the very 1st time on October 17th 2020 with much of my family for my sister's birthday and it was magical. My Nephew and Niece had the best of times with all the activities, animals, nature and all around good old fashioned family fun. The weather was spectacular, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the plants and animals were well kept and manicured, the price point of $12 (10$ entry and 2$ for the pumpkin) was well worth it as it includes a Pumpkin. The place was packed and jamming even during a Pandemic, but there was plenty of space for parking, games, hayride, little train ride, petting zoo, horse rides ($5), Corn maze, Sunflower fields, Cotton fields, Peanut fields, food vendors, covered picnic area and much much more. Animals included: Goats, Donkeys, a giant Longhorn Bull, cows and horses. The farm is pet friendly and fun for the whole family. I enjoyed it and hope you will too! Please be safe and respect others especially during this Pandemic. I reccomend a mask as at times you will be in close contact with very large groups of people. I guesstimate 100k people easy on the day we were there. A little patience may be required, especially when the weather is at peak condition. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at Holland Farms! Please enjoy your visit and please be safe, no matter where you are coming from. Thank you, hope this helps and God Bless you, yours and the USA!...
