If you had to choose one historical place in the Carson Valley to visit, the Dangberg Ranch is it. Beautifully restored, it feels like you are stepping back into time. The tours are excellent and have lots of fascinating information. There are also several outbuildings and some lovely gardens to enjoy!

I imagine it would have been a nice place to visit but their parking sign leads you to an empty field that's fenced off from the area, so I was in the rush to get somewhere else,and after driving around for about 5 minutes it just gave up...

This is a must see if you are in the area. It’s worth a drive if you are not in the area. We are from Texas and were in Gardenerville/Minden a couple of weeks ago. We knew nothing if the Dangberg family/history. It is truly an amazing story. Highly recommend the guided tour. Mark gave us the tour and he was excellent!
