Lake Fork — Attraction in Mineola

Just had a awesome weekend at Lake Fork. Started out by checking in to the Minnow Bucket Marina. Great place, clean comfortable rooms, and friendly helpful staff. Then fishing with Lake Fork crappie guide Gary Paris,his knowledge of Lake Fork & crappie fishing is unsurpassed. Despite advirse conditions Gary got us on the fish. Caught some nice ones. Then a bite to eat at the Gateway Bar & Grill. Good food, cold beer and a fun friendly staff. Everyone we encountered on this trip was totally awesome. Made it a great time. Can't wait to...

Evidently they fish around here. The pictures belie what goes on here. Crappie prospects are excellent, but the original decision not to remove timber has had legendary results. While many a prop has been lost navigating these waters, the average catch here is, ahem, above average. One draw back is the number of tournaments run here, but being in the middle that atmoshphere is a lot of fun. The BEST rv park on Lake Fork! This heavenly park is peaceful, serene and kept immaculately manicured. Perfect dock, with fish cleaning station, for easy access to lake for pleasure and/or all the world-class bass tournaments.
