Armatage Park — Attraction in Minneapolis

Amenities include five or six baseball diamonds, outdoor ice skating in season, two playground play areas, slides, seesaws, swings, plenty of parking on street or in midsize lot, large open fields for soccer, kite flying. Organized youth sports leagues for baseball and soccer apoear occasionally, three level bleachers near some of the sports fields. Fenced skateboard/scooter park with various ramps. Paved paths for biking, skating. Public access tennis courts, batting practice cage, scattered benches and picnic tables. Good snow sledding for families with youngsters, in season. Wading pool in summer for toddlers. No access to restroom facilities or drinking fountain at least not during COVID. No publicly available grills. Porta-potties are available sporadically (for organized events). Quiet residential neighborhood location a mile from good food stores. Friendly social environment. I have so many amazing experiences and memories at this park as a young little lad 😂. Had my first real girlfriend in 2nd grade, we dated for a week undercover and was mad I told my best friend Shane, so she broke up with me in front of the whole grade when they didnt even know we were dating, its hilarious now that i think about it, her name is Suzzane Lundeen. I hope and pray she is doing well these days. Anyways, me and my brother also played Little League Baseball, Football and Basketball here as well, and my father was the coach for the basketball team me and my brother were on as well! I also loved skating at the skate park when it was first built, I thought it was so cool because I use to skate there SOO much before it was built, so I'm probably one of the small reasons they built the skate park. Armatage Park is very beautiful Park in South Minneapolis. It has a Skateboard area for skateboarders. Baseball diamond or you can play football. They have a Wading Pool and during the winter they have a Ice Skating Rink. And they have a picnic area along with restrooms and special programs they have during the summer and the winter. The park has a tennis court and playground. Plus they have an indoor Service Center. It's a great Park to just get away and escape and have fun.
