We refer to time now as before K371 and after K371. That’s how much of an impact Carla and Andre made on our lives. Our 9 month old pup Rosie, was not quite manageable. She was a SERIOUS puller on leash, to the extent that a family member or two sustained some finger and wrist injuries. Rosie wanted to go say hi to every person, every dog, every everything, and never quite had her listening ears on. Her other naughty enjoyments included extreme counter surfing, biting, trying to steal human food, bounty napkin stealing and shredding, garbage diving, shoe eating, the list went on and on. We needed serious help and after some searching, we found K371 online, and we were hopeful they could help us! Everything we read on their website felt like a match for us. Not to mention how impressive it was that both Carla and Andre worked with animals in their time in the military. We were sold after the consultation, and soon enough we were dropping Rosie off for her 2 week board and train.
Carla and Andre sent us pictures and videos of Rosie learning to be a big girl…we were amazed at what we saw. We couldn’t wait to see all of her progress in person! But before that came, Rosie decided to make sure that she would be remembered. (She’s had some intestinal problems as a puppy, with bouts of diarrhea and mild vomiting.) So Rosie decided to bless Carla and Andre with one of these bouts. They could not have been more caring and attentive with Rosie…they even brought her to the vet appointment! We felt so comfortable and at ease knowing they were looking after our Rosie.
We met with Rosie and Andre after the first week at the dog park, for our first training session with her. We were in shock. This was not our dog… we thought she might be a clone! Her whole demeanor had changed. She was calmer, less anxious, more confident with herself, with us, and with other dogs, AND obeyed ALL commands. At the end of the 2nd week when we met up for our training session, we were even more impressed. Carla and Andre trained us to handle Rosie just as they had trained Rosie. They were so patient with us and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with every situation we’d be encountering. We trained at the park, at our house, at the store, etc. They also made themselves available to us on the phone any time we had a question, and any time in the future!
Andre and Carla made it possible for us to have the relationship with Rosie that we had always envisioned. After seeing the huge difference in Rose, my aunt joked and asked if Carla and Andre could train her kids! They truly took out all of her thorns and made her a beautiful Rose!! Read moreWhile my wife have always had large breed dogs, our new pup Chaos Bob was simply beyond anything that we had experianced. We attempted due diligence and read about the breed, did our homework on the breeder - yet at 10 months and two professional trainers, he was becoming more of “chore” just simply watching him. With a 110lb guardian breed dog, taking him for a walk was more than exercise, it was a practice in trying to prepare for which arm he would injur with his pulling. Family dinners involved Chaos being leashed and sitting by my side and even feeding him became a challange as he would snarl, bare his teeth and lunge shoulld you have even bumped him while eating. Even sleeping was disrupted by Chaos sleeping where he wanted (generally on top of you). In short, we became the house where the dog needed to be put up, we couldn’t allow people over due to fear of him injuring them and taking him out to socialize was dangerous for everyone - this is after two profesional trainers (one of which could not even kennel him after his training due to fear). Enter K371 (Andre and Carla) who responded to our call promptly and scheduled an evaluation for Chaos Bob. Once they evaluated him, made the determination that he was a good canidate, they went to work with him. After the first week, we returned to find that Chaos had a major attitude adjustment. In one week, we watched as our out of control dog sat, walked, and greeted others with a calm demeanor. After two weeks, not only were we wallking around the block on an easy slack lead, but were walking through a crowded Lowes with people easily saying hello and/or petting hiim - needless to say, I was stunned! Making the determination to have him train for a third week was rough - yes, he was a pain in my neck, but I still missed him. However, after seeing the changes in the first couple of weeks, we knew that a third week would only reinforce these amazing changes. After training, Andre has also been to our home, provided education to our family, ensured that we understood his commands, how to respond to anything new, and proves that K371 will stand behind their work. They not only have provided the framework and structure for Chaos Bob, but they have provided us a pet, not simply a chore. Regardless of its Lowes, Hobby Lobby or even Ross, Chaos is an absolute pleasure to take. Gone are the days of leashing him inside, absent of the aggression at meal time, and hello to a calm furry friend! We have already reccomended K371 over and over again, sharing the videos and pictures that were sent to us during his training! Five...
Read moreI honestly don’t even know how to put into words how amazing this experience has been for me and my boy. K371 is without a doubt the best investment I could have ever made into giving Oakley the life that he deserves. Before coming to Andre and Karla, Oakley wasn’t ever a “bad” dog, but the separation anxiety was REAL and he carried it everywhere! It was basically like having a toddler. He was all over me 24/7, very energetic with no concept of personal space, and when left alone would turn into my little furnado. I’m talking hardcore destruction. I took being away from him super hard because I do heavily rely on him for emotional support, but I will say I still felt like I never missed a beat with him. I was given pictures and videos almost daily to see him in action and I got to see him every week for our training check ins so I felt super involved every step of the way. Any questions or concerns I had, Andre and Karla were available with a wealth of knowledge to guide me in the right direction. I never doubted for a second while he was gone he was missing any of the love he was getting at home which was so huge for me. They even dressed him up and took him around the neighborhood for Halloween, and they shared it all! Let me tell you my Halloween heart soareddddd! Since Oakley has left the three week program he’s like a completely different dog. I can enjoy taking him out and about without stressing how energetic he will be that day, and I can leave him safely at home while I go out and run errands alone. When he first left, I was worried about his transition home after being gone for so long, but our relationship has done nothing but improve. I honestly feel more connected to him now than I ever have before. I cannot thank K371 enough for helping give me and my boy the relationship of our dreams. Thank you so much! Thank you for your service Andre, and also thank you for giving me this new life with Oakley. You and your family are truly one of a kind and I could not be more grateful. I truly appreciated every moment of...
