This self-guided trail through recreated prairie was well kept and interesting. In early September, there were lots of wildflowers in bloom and I was able to observe many insects and butterflies. One of three nearby sites dealing with the Dakota War of 1862, this was the most informative. The two are next to each other but are actually separate. You can visit the Historical site and camp in the County park. Reservations are required for a camping spot but you don't need to camp.
