This is actually an amazing campground. The owners are also nice here. But there are bathrooms and showers, a part of the campground for year round camping. And then there is a part of the campground for just camping. There are trails all around in the woods around the open part of the campground. There are also lots of areas back in the trees for tent camping. Only that though. The trails big enough for a car to drive up but not a camper or RV. You can also bring your bike and drive around. There is wifi at the campground too because there isn't good coverage around there. At least with AT&T and Verizon. Read moreItasca State Park was full so we decided to give this campground a try. Used the "primitive" camping. If you are pulling a trailer you can make it back there but it is tight. They do have trailer parking available but we were not comfortable leaving all of our fishing gear unattaneded. The website brags about 40 acres of camping but it is smaller primitive sights. The sites are clean, they have showeres, they sell ice and wood, and are very friendly. Camp Itasca is great for families as well, due to the amount of space to run around, the play ground, and the respect factor that is "usually" provided by other campers.
