Wonderful facility for a relatively small-group camp! I went last summer for Stringwood (chamber music camp) and it was beautiful! Not too hot even in August- some days were quite warm (85) but some didn't get above 70. Of course, where I'm from, those are typical winter temps... The ropes course was challenging but a lot of fun, canoeing was great, and we went for a few runs either through the trees or along the road. Lots of outdoor opportunities! Food is relatively usual for a camp-type place- sometimes it's really good, sometimes it's meh. We didn't get a lot of chances to interact with the naturalists/Eagle Bluff staff, since a lot of what we did was music, but when we did, they were wonderful- very informative and helpful and welcoming. The dorm building is nice, it has a large open area with a ping pong table, a fireplace, and a great view out the window, good for hanging out in. Rooms are suite-style, one bathroom/shower shared for two rooms that each have two bunk beds. The only downsides- no cell service (not a huge deal, I mostly needed it to check the weather), there were a lot of bugs (though I imagine this is only true in the warm months), and I lost my phone while canoeing because of course I did. Other than that it was an awesome experience! I came for the music, and stayed for the location!

We purchased tickets for the High Ropes Course and had an amazing time!! We knew with the storms over the weekend that there was a chance we wouldn’t be able to do it but we did. Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The other group didn’t show so it was just the two of us and the instructors Ian and Erinn who were wonderful! We had an amazing time and would recommend this to anyone and everyone. I did the ropes course as a child through school but the course has been updated and is all centrally located just a walk up the hill. There were many different choices of obstacles to try and the zip line was the best part. Ian gave us ways to make the course harder if they were not challenging enough as well which was not needed but greatly appreciated. We spent about an hour and half on the course and got off a bit early to make sure we were not stuck in the storms. Thank you to everyone there and we hope to be back in the future!

This place is really a lot of fun. I've taken 5th graders on overnight field trips here 5 or 6 times, and despite going in the middle of winter, they always have a great time. The landscape is absolutely beautiful and they're naturalist's are jovial and usually pretty interesting. The cafeteria usually has pretty good food, but from time to time it's a bit of a letdown. If you're chaperoning a field trip I recommend bringing a couple of snacks just in case. Also, the coffee is plentiful, but weak and a bit to devoid of taste. Something else to possibly bring along.

Went here for a school field trip back in October. It was an ok experience but lots of stuff was not good. Let me start off with the rooms as a lot of the fixtures are broken or they squeak. They do not provide you with any bedding so your on your own. In some of the rooms the air conditioning or heat was not working. The staff was rude and had to wait with a friend 30 minutes for toothpaste and a toothbrush. Some of them were rude and did not seem like they were having a good time. Some of them actually were pretty good. Otherwise the best parts of the trip was the ropes course and the breathtaking view of the bluffs. The food did not get any better as the Pizza tasted like it was reheated and cardboard while they did have some good wraps and a good breakfast buffet. However some of the classes were pretty boring and did not feel a learned much but, that’s just my opnion but, some of them really did teach me some stuff. I would not stay here again I would rather do the ropes course, look at the views, and leave. I just felt like the entire trip was a big wait and I would not like to spend anytime in the dorms. The point is that they need to redo and remodel the place beacuse it needs it bad. Did appreciate some of the effort, but I just would not come back here. Nice...

I went there for a field trip in December of last year. My school had been here before but when I went it the first time my school had gone since covid. I didn't like the idea of being stuck with teachers and my entire grade level for almost 3 days. I still went though you know for the experience. First it was pretty nice. Dorms had alot of space. There were 4 bunk beds per room so fitting up to 8 people. Thete was just 4 in my room. the water smelt really funny to me and my dorm mates. The beds weren't to comfortable which honestly makes sense, it reminded me of the beds in my sister's dorm room at collage. It didn't matter much to me. But the food... it was questionable... we were fed all 3 meals and a snack before bed. So that's a good part. Some of the food was gonna but some were weird.. I have no clue if it was relevant, but I remember having a stomach ache like right before bed both nights. The girls and boys were separated which I was GLAD about. The activity we had one night was a night hike.. the scared the living crap out of me. I also got lost a couple times. But it had its pros and cons and good...
