Good place to go for wide walking trails and snowshoeing in winter. Some parts are paved near buildings but otherwise gravel. Not a lot of signs so be sure to look at them in parking lot before walking around.

Beautiful walking trails a short hop off the freeway, and a minutes from downtown Fergus Falls. Peaceful prairie grasslands and wetlands to unwind in. Try to get walks in here as much as possible.

A nice place to stop, birdwatch, and enjoy the native plants. They have boxes for bluebirds, purple martin, and wood ducks that attract the species as well as the natural habitat.

It was disappointing after having to park out by the highway due to special programming or training to arrive and find the Prairie wetlands was closed. Please change your hours on this site so people don’t have to travel, walk a long ways and find you are closed. Many disappointed people were excited to come and do monarch butterfly tagging. They are only open...

This park is operated by the US Department of Interior. There are several miles of trails through the the park and several hundred species of wild grasses and flowers.

There are geese and ducks here from spring to fall, and this park is on the migration path for monarchs. If you love nature photography this place offers endless photo...

Great place to take a hike through a flower rich prairie with a well stocked bookstore and gift shop. Lots of prairie wetland birds like Pied-billed Grebe, coots, and Virginia Rails and Sora. Thriving Purple Martin colony and lots of summering Sedge Wrens reside here....
