Very nice look back to what a sod house was like. As a huge fan of LIW I was excited to get to experience it. Really lovingly put together and definitely worth $4. (It was 90 outside and blissfully cool in the sod house!) I wish there had been a bathroom somewhere because we had been traveling for awhile and we had to cut our visit short. Lovely conversation with the owner.

This was a very nice place to visit. $5. per person. I love the sod structures and the interior inside them. Takes you to a time long forgotten. Kids today definitely don't know the struggles family's had to deal with. Weather conditions, living conditions, traveling in covered wagons, etc.

The houses were very interesting. One house is spectacular and another dilapidated. If you enjoy the way things used to be, you will enjoy this. The smallest home has a search and find game that was fun. The owner is very nice. You need cash. 4$ per adult.

This property has such an adorable backstory—both Little House on the Prairie fans and passersby will enjoy learning from the interactive exhibit. Be sure to read the laminated literature to learn about the family. Just beyond the two structures, there is a lovely circle through the prairie grass, complete with wild flowers and monarch butterflies! (We visited in August.)...

We saw the sign as a detour took us around hwy 71. Stopped on a whim. This is a simple and loving tri use to prairie history. The sod house is amazing. It is meant to be a bit interactive. Try on the clothes for your pictures. Really nice walk through the prairie fields and we will come back again....
