It's a private lake in a gated community and you have to be a property owner or have an invite from one to visit. I used to go there regularly (fishing). But it's so blighted and unkept. The roads there are horrible and the areas that the property association are supposed to keep maintained aren't. It could be such a beautiful place. And the thing about racism there that other reviewers have mentioned is pretty spot on. Not with most of the owners themselves. But with the property association board. The first black owners there were in the 1990's (if I remember correctly). A black church bought a cheaper A-Frame home there to give their members access to the beach. And the association tried everything they could to try and block the sale, as they had done many times before. I have friends who live there currently and they say things aren't quite at that level now. But that it still exists to some degree. It could be such a beautiful place with the right maintenance and the right association members to run things!...
