I went to enchanted nature trail with realistic ideas so that i wouldn't be disappointed if it wasn't as good as its description and reviews. Im a very positive person and see the good in most everything. Unless this park has been cleaned up and restored it is not worth the drive out there. Every sign, fairy or insect house is dilapidated, broken and neglected. I was hurt for all the children that went there expecting an enchanted forest/hike. Some of the trail is muddy and marshy and left to rot. I am going to give it one more shot with hope that it has been cared for or tended to for spring. If anyone has been there in the last 8 weeks and it has been cared for and updated or freshened up in anyway please post a review. I will post my new review after my next visit. Probably within the...

It is a beautiful trail with lots of shade. It was not maintained very well when we visited. We brought a bag and left with It full of litter. It was overrun with poison ivy, but luckily no one got a rash. Most of the boardwalks had shifted out of place in the mud and most of the art areas were damaged.

It was too rough for my 16 month old and the 2 and 3 year olds in the group. It would be more appropriate for grade school age and up.

Bring bug spray, water, a bag for trash, and wear long pants...

Beautiful trail but has not been up kept in a very very long time. It would be an excellent nature trail for tourists to stop in and check out on the way to the casinos and such but it is not in a suitable shape to visit now. It seems like it was a beautiful place at one time. maybe the local community will decide to clean it up fix it and put it back together because I'm sure it was a special place...

To start, the parking area has no signs and you park in a vacant lot. Don't be fooled, it is the area. You will walk down a grass path and will not see signs of the trail until about 3 minutes of hiking. Once you are on the trail, it is a nice shaded little path of 0.50 miles roadtrip. Some signage and learning opportunities. Not a bad little path for a quick learning trip.

A short shaded loop through the woods. The vacant parking lot is now blocked by tree stumps. The trail is a little overgrown and some of the things on the map aren't there (like the marsh overlook). It was probably a nicer trail a few years ago. The photo is where we parked and you just follow the trail to the left until you see the first sign to the right of the bridge.
