The Noxubee Refuge is a great place to go hike, have a picnic, or take kids. The visitor center has a small museum area that kids love. They have a few taxidermy animals, an alligator that likes noise, a touch area and a few areas to read about various animals from the area. There is a small gift shop area. There are several trails of various levels that even small kids can enjoy, an area with picnic tables and room to run around near the lake, and a lookout area where alligators can sometimes be seen. The trails are nice, though there were a few fallen trees we had to maneuver, and the employees are so wonderfully helpful and kind. We saw much wildlife and pretty insects along the way.
