My very own home town. I'm sort of a history buff so I really enjoyed learning about my town's history. Also I got to see my father and uncle name as remembered soldiers.

Stopped by to tour the museum but it was closed today- no cars, no lights. Maybe next time?

Good over view of the local history of Tunica County and the surrounding areas. The museum is still running on a reduced schedule: it is now only open Thurs. Fri. & Sat. 9A.M.-4P.M., but the lady who runs it tells me that by May they hope to have everything back in ship shape and expand the number of days that they will be open. It's definitely worth a visit if you are a local or from the surrounding area and want to learn some things about the...

Lisa Henley's review is just so much sour grapes. She always puts down everyone and everything. This here Museum exhibits rival those to be found at the Smithsonian in DC or the Louver in Paris, France. And I should know because I've been to both. As the smartest person in Tunica, I can say without hesitation that this museum is an unforgettable educational and cultural experience. The fossils were awesome. Only a fool would dare criticize one of the most important cultural heritage sites in the state! A bunch of sissies afraid of a few blades of grass and one or two vines. My goodness gracious but some people are finicky and just...

The museum was closed, but we decided to stop anyway to check out the nature trail - which is primarily a board walk. Apparently it hasn't seen any maintenance in years because it is completely blocked by trees, many of which are several inches in diameter. If the condition of the exhibits inside the museum matches those of the trail this would be a good...
