Located within the Rock Bridge State Park, the Devil's Icebox is a cave system that offers guided tours for the adventurous. Be warned that exploration can be hazardous past the main entrance, though stepping inside is certainly recommended. Follow the wooden pathway to hit the highlights and informational boards, enter the Devil's Icebox at the Charlie's Cave entrance, then explore the park via the other trails. Read moreGreat park. Lots of hiking options. The cave and sinkholes are fun to explore. Come prepared with good flashlights and clothing that can get dirty. Also know that depending on the recent rainfall there will be little or lots of water going through the caves. Sometimes it's too deep to walk in and other times you can walk right in. The hiking paths are decently marked (could be better) and there are many different hiking or biking trail lengths to choose from. It's a fun place to visit with yourself...
Read moreDon't get confused, many of the pictures you see for this place are actually just the underside of the rock bridge; a natural feature close to the start of the trail. The Devil's Icebox is much colder (duh!) and darker, with not as much vaulted area. There's a sign near the "entrance" recommending people to have multiple sources of light and a hard hat if they venture further into the cave. It's an easy walk to get to, just don't confuse it with some of the other color-coded...
