The Fantastic Caverns is a ride along cave tour! It's the first cave tour I've ever been on that didn't require walking. I'm not quite sure how far the tour goes into the cave, but we got to see some pretty spectacular sites! Be warned, if you're sitting on the drivers side - you're going to be ducking in certain areas of the cave to avoid hitting your head on the cave ceiling! Depending on your perspective, that could be an exciting part or could be a chore. 🤣 You get to learn a lot of cave facts from the tour guide and see a lot of really amazing cave formations in Fantastic Caverns. The tours last about an hour an leave the visitors center about every 20 minutes. Admission $28 plus tax for an adult. I think it's worth a stop if you want like exploring caves. They have a nice gift shop where you can get an affordable hoodie to wear since the cave stays at 60° so the time. I picked one up on sale for $25. The only thing that could be better in the future would be using a different kind of vehicle to pull the trollys into the cave. Due to having vehicles inside the cave there are times when it smells a lot like exhaust, making it hard to breathe. I wonder if they could upgrade to electric vehicles or something that doesn't emit exhaust in the future. I can't imagine that's good for cave growth. ( Something that they talk about when they instruct guests NOT to touch the cave walls!) Also when there's more than one tour in the cave you can hear the rumbling from the engine so if there's a tour behind you it can be hard to hear the tour guide. Overall it was really fun and I'm happy that I stopped to check it out!

Fantastic Caverns is truly a hidden gem in Missouri, offering an unforgettable and unique underground adventure. Unlike any other cave tour I’ve experienced, this one lets you sit back and relax as you ride through the stunning caverns, making it perfect for all ages and abilities. The tour itself is both fascinating and educational. As you travel through the cave, the knowledgeable guide shares intriguing stories and facts about the formations, history, and geology of the caverns. The lighting highlights the natural beauty of the stalactites, stalagmites, and other formations, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. What sets Fantastic Caverns apart is the convenience and comfort of the ride-through experience. Whether you’re with young kids, elderly family members, or simply prefer a more leisurely pace, this tour allows everyone to enjoy the wonders of the cave without the strain of walking or climbing. The entire experience is well-organized and thoughtfully designed, from the friendly staff to the smooth and comfortable ride. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into preserving the natural environment while making it accessible for visitors. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend taking the time to visit Fantastic Caverns. It’s an extraordinary journey into the heart of the earth, offering a perfect blend of adventure, education, and relaxation. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience!
