I would HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT join the member club for this winery!!!

Although we live over an hours drive away from the winery, we were members of this winery and wine club for approximately 18 months, as friends brought us for food and wine one evening. We committed to paying $22/month for one bottle of wine, as we were impressed with the sustainability of the farm and wanted to support a local family run business. Due to the commute, we were unable to make regular trips out to the winery, and after one 6 month break, collected approximately 6 bottles of wine. On a further visit (after autopaying $22/month for 10 months) we drove the hour with our young children to collect our wine, and enjoy the evening out there. We were UNCERAMONIOUSLY told that wine can only be 'held' for 3 months and that the other 7 months of payments could not be honored! Let me be clear, the wine Jowlers creek makes is not seasonal, and they have all their wine in stock at all times, so there is no need for wine to be "held". I was informed that this policy is in their terms and conditions, regardless of the fact that on an earlier occasion I had collected multiple bottles. After leaving with 3 of my 10 bottles of wine that I had PAID for.... I emailed the owner expressing my disappointment. She addressed none of my points, accepted my cancellation and left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth.

My question is this: what business, be it large or small, takes someones money for a product, month after month, and REFUSES to give them the product they have paid for?

They have not only lost my monthly support for their family run business, but I would urge others to find another local vineyard to visit and invest their time and money.

**I have only ever written 1 other review on google, this irked me so much I...

Our group visited Jowler Winery for wine tasting on a Saturday night. We felt the winery offered a great atmosphere, but fell short for wine and food quality.

Good setting. Jowler Creek Winery is set among a wonderful landscape of rolling hills and farms approximately 20 minutes East of Weston. Their tasting room in located in what appears to be a nicely converted barn that offers a great atmosphere with several tables and a small bar. We attended on a Saturday night when the tasting room was full and lively, but still provided our party with a comfortable atmosphere. Jowler also has outdoor seating which is complimented with live music on Saturday nights.

Mediocre Wine. Our party tried the sampler. We didn't think any of the wines were bad, but nothing caught our attention. We found most of the wines to be generally too sweet or dry, but this is obviously just a matter of our taste, as many other groups were buying bottles - just our preference.

Food Options. I was let down with their food options. Obviously Jowler Winery isn’t a restaurant, and only offers food to supplement wines, but I expected more for the $21 Meat, Cheese, and Bread bucket. I think the bucket is a novel concept and fits the atmosphere, but I found the cheese and meat to be generally tasteless and bland, and didn’t complement the wines.

Overall Jowler Winery has a nice atmosphere but I think it falls short for...

I did not stay in the house, but I did go to the winery and taste some wines on the way home from a trip. The outside was very nice, with a house on the property for people to rent out if they wanted to stay there for a day or few days and not be too far from the city or too far from the winery. The outdoor had dogs and chickens just walking around and taking care of the outside bugs and insects. It is a very cool looking place on the inside with wine, cups, glasses and apparel to buy and take home. I tried 10 wines and got a glass with the purchase, I was surprised at how well all the wines tasted, sometimes there are wines I do not like, but I liked all of these wines. They were all very good and I learned all about how they are grown and treated in the vineyard as well as once they are picked and created. It was a very good trip and I learned all about the winery, while drinking wine, great trip and the employee was very nice and took great care of me as well as the other customers that were in the establishment. Highly recommend this winery to people that want to try some delicious wines and enjoy a pretty...

During a recent girls trip to Missouri, we picked Jowler Creek out of the visit Weston magazine. We did the wine tasting with Raven and if I'm being honest.... there are really only two serious wine drinkers in our group... but myself and one other were good sports and went along with it. Raven was awesome and rolled with the punches and all of the laughter. We enjoyed the wine slushies and the outdoor seating. Lindsay Blacksher was playing live music and it was just wonderful. We stayed for a few hours and had a great time. Will definitely be back during future visits to the area!

We went for the local wine and food pairing which was only $14 to sample 8 wines with local organic food. The place is clean and staff was nice, attentive and helpful. There is a nice outdoor area with tables and a fire pit. The parking lot is gravel apt with the last bit of road on the way to the winery. We spent around 2 hours there with the first hour doing the tasting and the last hour enjoying a bottle of wine outside. It was less than $50 total for a fun afternoon which is totally worth the drive.
