Turkey Pen Hollow Trailhead — Attraction in Missouri

We had a lovely time on our hike. We actually finished it in just over 2 hrs with a 7 year old. We took the #1 shortcut, which should make it a 4.5 mile loop. Much of it is on level ground and there are multiple nice vistas looking out from a ridge. You can even see the castle and tower from one in the early spring before the leaves come in. We saw a bunch of lizards and a couple hawks. It was a great hike, and the full 6.5 mile loop would make a perfect day hike where you stop at one of the scenic campsites...

A great trail to get away from the crowds in Haha Tonka on busy days. The trail goes through forests, glades and creek beds. There is also a cool backpack camp located on the trail.
