The Windows Section of Arches includes the North and South Windows, Turret Arch, Double Arch, the Parade of Elephants, the Garden of Eden, Pothole Arch, and Balanced Rock. The Windows Section is located in the center of Arches, on a spur of the park road, which is well marked and recognized by the many vehicles. There is parking and picnic shelters, plus restrooms in the area. The elevation is about 5000 feet, but it is not cooler and there is very little shade. Right before the turn-off spur road is Balanced Rock, which is reviewed elsewhere. Next is Pothole Arch, and the Garden of Eden. The road comes to a trailhead for each of these and you will walk back in. Double Arch, North and South Windows share the same parking area This area is quite popular for private visitors as well as tour buses, and can get quite crowded. Parking along the access road is not allowed, so if there is no parking available you'll have to return later. The Double Arch Trailhead is a half mile and is in the opposite direction from the others. it is reviewed elsewhere as is Turret Arch. The North and South Windows are together and Turret is beyond them. Good shoes are required as this is a gently uphill climb...
