Ustach Park — Attraction in Modesto

There's not much to do, but walk around. It's a large area with grass and seats. Use your imagination and bring a few items with you... ball, skateboard, Frisbee, etc, and the children can have a blast. I see children riding bikes. Mostly older children.

My friend and I were sitting minding our own business, and a young adult rode by on a skateboard and asked, "You guys like weed?" We were thrown off guard and just stared at each other saying, "Uuggghhhhh?" Thankfully, he kept going and didn't wait for us to say no.

Then, just when it was calm enough for us to talk some kids in a BMW, about 6 of them inside the car were racing up and down the street, hanging out all the windows yelling. They did that about 4 times. They just completed a VERY OBVIOUS transaction, and I guess they were happy about the drugs they obtained.

Other than that.... ugh, great place for highly supervised...

During the daytime the park is somewhat ok, just stay clear for the bathrooms due to broken glass and drug activity. After the Sun goes down stay clear of this park! The park is poorly lit, the bathrooms remain open 24 hours A-day and therefore provide homeless with an excellent place to trash the bathrooms, and it provides a pretty good place for continued drug use to include drug sales. If you're looking for a park the host unsupervised teenagers that are misbehaving than this is the park for you

COME ON MODESTO, THE NEIGHBORS DESERVE A SAFE PARK! THE PARKS LIGHTING MUST BE INCREASED. MODESTO POLICE DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO REGULARILY PATROL THIS AREA, TO INCLUDE CHECKS OF THE BATHROOMS. JIST A FEW WEEKS AGI A YOUNG MAN WAS SHOT NEAR THE PARK, LETS CLEAN THE NEIGJBORHOOD PARK UP SO WE THE TAX PAYERS CAN ENJOY AND FEEL SAFE WHILE...

Well maintained park, split by a crossroad. One side has public restrooms, play areas with slides, swings, toddler area, water sprayer for summer fun, and lots of grass area surrounded by a sidewalk made for a nice walk or bike ride. On the otherside side, it is another big grass area good enough for any sport surround by sidewalks too. Surrounding area feels real safe, so do the daily visotors that seem to really enjoy going thier.
