Visited for the first time in early April, what a fantastic spot! Beautiful boardwalk and natural rock formations. This was a nice challenge for my first hike of the season, though I couldn't finish the ridge loop. Part of this trail is closed March 1st to June 15th so the bobcats and ravens who call the natural area home can raise their young. Saw turtles, pileated woodpeckers, chipmunks, squirrels, and a whole host of other native critters! Trails seemed overgrown in several areas and no litter to be seen anywhere. Easy to stay on trail and little opportunity to get lost on the loop. Incredible ecological diversity. Peaceful, quiet and stunning. The mosquitos were BAD on the 88ยฐ plus 90% humidity Friday but I knew the risks. Lovely spot...
