This is a nice little park in Monmouth, OR. The drive there is beautiful, farms and fields, if you take the back roads. Be aware cyclists are riding these roads, especially on the weekends. Share the road please. The park is tucked away in a quiet area and surrounded by natural beauty. There is a park host here. Seems like the park is well maintained and grounds and restrooms are very clean and stocked. I would recommend coming here if you're going to want to spend a day using their grills and having a get together. What a great place for spending the day eating and playing lawn games. Seems like a good place to take a dip on a hot day too or to get some easy fishing in, if that interests you. Pet friendly park (leash required). There are some short trails, but don't expect to come here and get a hike in. All of the trails that lead to the water are VERY steep. There are some deep ditches and make shift steps that make it somewhat easier to get down, but I wouldn't recommend if your unsteady on your feet at all. The trail beside the host is the best to get to the water and a nice pebble beach. This is a great place for families and kids, even little toddlers. The trails are the perfect length for little legs, until you get to the drop offs. Keep an eye and close hand on the kiddos.

Nice little spot out there to spend some time at... I coudn't find any fresh water but did not look that hard. There is some bathrooms and picnic spots but not a whole lot else and with a campground host probably won't be able to hobo camp here😓.. The whole premise of the park is a bit off.... thinking about it in sucha way that the whities just came and took this land how great is it that they gave it back for a public park...🤷‍♂️

Great for Bird Watching and Spring Flowers, this is the oldest State Park in Oregon. The pathway to the bathrooms is paved, but a jaunt with a slight hill, which could be difficult for some alternative transportation devices, but the bathrooms are clean and accessible. The park features a road that circles around and provides locals or travelers a fine and beautiful walking track.

Love this place. Its a new find for me and some friends. Its shallow, slow flowing in most places. Some areas of the river are 100% sand on the river bed which makes it nice for walking and beautiful for paddleboarding. We have a 14ft board that I was able to navigate the river with Ease. The trails are a bit difficult to spot and there seems to be but 3 areas to get to the river, after that you walk or float to your destination. Its a well kept park, and a clean river. The parking is vast and if you're looking for a picnic it's a great spot as well. It closes at 10 though Google says 6 I'm assuming it changes with...
