Wow. This was an interesting fishing trip. 10/10 would go again. If you know what your doing...you will catch fish...not an easy lake to fish so give yourself a few days to kinda figure it out. Locals are amazingly friendly people. They were vital in us understanding the area and safely navigating the lake. It's a resivouir and the bottom is ever changing...the water was high and like chocolate milk when we were there which made the fishing very difficult, but with the locals advice we caught fish and had a good time. The area is beautiful...just gourgeous...I will visit...

We affectionately call this a "redneck" lake as there is not much around the lake because the Army Corp of Engineers does not allow people to build on the lake. My in-laws bought a place about 3 miles from the lake and we have been coming up here for close to 20 years. Pretty quiet for the most case unless there is a fishing tournament taking place of a holiday weekend. Plenty of room for tubing, skiing, swimming, bluff jumping or floating.
