You know this Lake is great but there was quite a few flaws. Ok so me and my family rented a pontune boat and it was brand new and very nice however the speaker system was horrible one speaker didn’t even work the other barely worked and then another one just kept making noises and then there was only one that actually worked, already disappointed but then I find out that there is only about two designated swimming areas that you can swim at and that wasn’t that bad but then I went to one of the beaches... IT WAS HORRIBLE, the water was all mud and not clean at all because they had construction tape trapping everyone to swim in one tiny corner when there was A LOT of people and then the beach itself was just very badly taken care of. Also there didn’t seem to be ANY fish for some reason. Now I also must mention that they close at 7 so you have to return your boat at 6:30 which isn’t as late as I wanted. The park is always striving to make improvements to enrich everyone's experience. Plenty of planned activities (except during a pandemic 🙄) Beautiful sites! From rustic, full hook up, to pull through and cabins, there is something for everyone's liking at Atwood. The enormous lake is something to behold. Especially at sunrise and sunset. We had a wonderful time the beach wasn’t over crowded the pricing and availability of products at the concession were more than accommodating. The inflatable obstacle courses weren’t open due to lack of lifeguards which I can’t fault the lake for that it just seems to be trend in the business world since Covid.
