I have hiked here a number of times and have sampled most of the trails. This is a nice reservation with summit views and a westerly vista from a lower point on the mountain. Along the way to the top there is a small pond (Fire Pond) that has many critters to look for such as frogs, salamanders and a large group of goldfish. The trails aren't very difficult and they are marked well, especially at intersections. I have seen many families hiking here along with their dogs as well. Highly recommended especially if you are looking for an easy to moderate hike...

There are two separate parts on the mountain. The lor you have to drive up to is the mountain itself. The lot you drive down to is more of a reservation. It's not a hard hike but the later is more of a relaxed walk rather than a hike sporting a large pond, a cabin and a river/creek. The mountain itself is well worth the climb as the view allows you to see miles over Massachusetts. In all if you were to do both sections you are looking at at least 5-8 hours even for advanced hikers. So pack a lunch and bring water. Remember carry in /...

Wonderful, clean trails up the side of Peaked Mtn. The walk up is a bit strenuous, but not too challenging. There are stone benches along the way to rest. Passed lots of dog walkers, but didn't notice any poo on the paths, so they're being responsible. Very little litter. The peak is a wonderful vantage point to view the fall foliage. Nice rocky outcrops on one side provide great spots to rest, picnic, or otherwise enjoy the view. Bushes between the outcrops ensure that everyone can have their own spot to enjoy the view...

Nice little loop trail up the mountain, not a super long trek, only a couple miles, possibly 3 ish if you were to zigzag thru a couple of the side trails.. but still nice for a quick hike, and pretty decent views up there! I was impressed! Not much in the way of water features for the puppers to cool off, but the little stream that came out near the bottom was good enough for my girl to lay down and cool off in for a few minutes! 🤷‍♂️😅🐶👍
