Apgar Fire Lookout — Attraction in Montana

Good 7ish mile hike, 3.6 miles up and back. Get to see some great views after the 2nd mile. Not too many spots for shade so make sure to bring sun screen and a hat. I would also recommend bear spray, bell or whistle. There is the possibility even with people around. I was there on a Wednesday and there were 4 or 5 groups of people I encountered, but not so many I couldn't enjoy the hike. The last 1.5 miles is pretty steep, but once you get to the lookout it has great views and well worth the hike. I would recommend to anyone in the area to...

The hike was great, though the view from the very top isn't as great as a little before. Definitely a more strenuous hole that you should be at least somewhat in shape for.
