This is a beautiful bird and wildlife viewing area. In the spring, around the end of March, there is a huge snow goose migration, along with many other birds. There are a few small lakes with views of the Rocky Mountain Front. Definitely worth a stop in spring and early summer.

This is an amazing place. Loved watching the snow geese come in and rest. When they all take off together, this is an amazing sight. I would highly recommend checking out this area when the birds are in migration.

Free camping and great bird watching. Google maps takes you about 5 miles north of Freezeout Lake, to the middle of nowhere, but you can look for this sign on the highway as you pass the lake.
