Visiting Giant Springs State Park is a surreal moment and something (someplace) everyone should experience whether you live in Great Falls, or just visiting. I recall visiting this state park 20+ years ago, but don't remember every detail from that visit so it was great to visit again on 12 Aug 2024 to refresh the memory banks. Not to mention, this is one of those areas you can visit almost every day to just walk around and get those daily steps, or just sit down under the shade and relax (assuming it's during the warmer months). It was amazing to see just how clear the water was, to include witnessing the bright green plants in the water. I think I could speak on behalf of a lot of people when I say, "I wish I could've jumped in the water." If you haven't been here before, I highly recommend you visit soon. If you're a local and haven't been here in a while, then I highly suggest you get up and go appreciate this area a lot more. Note: Be sure to bring a lot of quarters with you because you can feed the fishes at the hatchery right next door.

This is so worth coming to. So easy to park, entrance is free. Giant Springs is a treasure for the area, they attached fish hatchery is interesting and very quick to learn about how fish are spawned and then sent to various lakes and streams around Montana. The park is great for walking along Rivers edge it is paved and flat it is a beautiful walk good enough for people on walkers canes and wheelchairs all will have access to this incredible walk along the river. When's walking others happily greet you with a hello, it seems others in the area are so happy to be here. There are all kinds of birds in the area we saw seagulls pelicans and other Montana based birds. I highly recommend for anyone no matter if you're in good health or not so good health this is an easy place to come for a gentle walk.

This is my favorite outdoor spot in GF. The springs themselves are in a great picnic area on the rivers (because technically there are two of them there) with trails all over the place offering something for hikers, runners, road and mtn bikers, fishers, and photographers. The hatchery is an interesting look at what it takes to keep the trout in our waters with indoor exibits and rangers often on-site. Lewis and Clark Interperetive Center is a great way to learn a ton of local history, and it has great views of the river and Black Eagle Falls. Farther down river, you'll find two more falls and miles of dirt trail that are all well maintained. Great area if you're in Great Falls.

Moved here to Montana August 2021. Since living here I've been to Great Falls area twice to go to Walmart for my shopping and automotive service. This was my third time going to Great Falls so thought I'd check out all the cool things to do out in nature in the area for a full day. This place was absolutely gorgeous. Loved it. Took close to 100 combination of photos/videos while I was there. Then followed up by going to Rainbow Falls 1.1 miles from here and then in the opposite direction 4.5 miles to Black Eagle Falls. They were ok, nothing compared to this spring Park. Definitely will visit again now that I live in this beautiful state.

A very nice park to spend the day, the restrooms and parking lot are very clean, the ranger at the entrance was very nice and super helpful, we are not from around here so she gave us a lot of tips of what to do and where to go; also if you are not from Montana you have to pay a very small fee, which is worth because the park is pretty. If you don't feel like walking you can always drive along the Missouri river and stop at one of the several view points to admire the scenery. I've been here on summer and spring and I think it's better to visit on summer, when everything is green and you'll have clear skies

My favorite spot in town. Great place to connect with nature. The natural springs are beautiful all year round and they have a fun little walking bridge over them. I take all our out of town visitors here. Photo Ops for sure. Feed trout at the hatchery, the machine takes quarters. There's animal life if you keep your eyes out. Deer, various raptors, pelicans. Fishing spots here. Lots of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sledding in the winter. Lots of paths to explore with nice views. Picnic tables and bathrooms add some convenience. Small visitors center with some taxidermy.
