Rigid & Inflexible; Safety & Cleaning Issues; Radio Silence when asked multiple times for partial reimbursement for cleaning fees; Sub-par Standards; Does not want repeat customers; AirBnB and other cabin rental properties are soooo much better, less fees, and cheaper - DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY
For $275 per night (two nights in April, a summer (not spring) fee), cleaning fees etc. are more than one night stay ($125 house cleaning fee, $125 hot tub cleaning fee, $99 non-refundable damage waver - coverage up to $300). At least if the charges are going to be so high, the place could actually be cleaned upon arrival (dust everywhere inducing allergy attack, disgusting grill filled with grease resulted in a grease fire (the agency instructed us to clean this ourselves after we notified them of this issue), uncleaned table tops and trash can top/lid (we cleaned these upon arrival ourselves), nails and safety hazards everywhere). Non refundable for any circumstance. Hot tub truly not the best (dark grime on ridges).
No early check-in or late check-out (even though calendar did not have anyone before or after).
Rules, rules, rules. More rules than I have ever read for a rental. Practically everything except "No dancing". The abundance of rules was stress inducing - fee for anything you could potentially do wrong, such as: $50 fee for each 30 minutes a check-out is late; fees for hot tub, fees for improper trash disposal, etc. Many odd rules that are not on par with standard cabin rental companies or even AirBnB (e.g., all dishes must be washed and placed back in proper location upon check-out; take pictures and send of driver's license before check-in and of hot tub water levels on check-out; etc.). No protection for the customer at all, even the agency itself did not meet standards. Radio silence when asked to financially reimburse for cleaning issues multiple times.
Ragged bathing towels, not enough towels. Only one paper towel roll and two rolls of toilet paper for the entire stay. Bring your own EVERYTHING (sugar for coffee, salt, etc.). For a 12 person capacity (and for this booking it was 5), 10 ragged bathing towels (for bathing and hot tub), a hot tub that really comfortably seats 2 (capacity 4), and lack of supplies is not sufficient.
Very residential. If you look directly out the back, you see a nice view. But not private at all and hot tub and fire pit views are of neighbor's houses and cars.
Nails coming out of multiple floors! My friend injured themselves. Cannot walk barefoot. Radio silence when told the owners. Terrible customer service. Clearly does not want repeat customers.
(Minor) but also no complimentary wine & crackers as suggested by the website pictures.
Overall, there is so much better out there and I have been to better. For ~$500 per night (fees included), we expected better and/or at least a little bit of flexibility and better...
Read moreThis couple stole our money during the pandemic. STAY AWAY!!!! Read more below....
_-------------
We had saved and planned at staying at the cabins in april last year 2020. Then the Covid pandemic hit and the owners originally offered us to use the cabin within a year. They then retracted their offer and said that we were no longer able to stay and would not refund our money due to the contract.
We tried to work with owners to give them notice, but no one expected Covid and all other rental companies (airbnb, vrbo, etc) offered solutions. Our state, NC, was in a no travel lockdown and we could travel. We tried to work on other dates, but owners continue to refuse allowing us to rent. The owners, James and Renee Barber, have threatened to sue us if we share our story on social media... too bad slander is only if we lie and my story is true with email back ups. Only people with something to hide threatened lawsuits! Is this how you treat your clients in your architecture firm in Murfreesboro? I have given this "Christian couple" multiple times to do the right thing by refunding our paid in full rental. Some in our group lost their jobs during the pandemic and others are essential workers who work hard all year long to stay in their "weekend second home" Everyone needs to know that these scam artists won't be tolerated. They stole our money during a pandemic and try to bully us with lawsuits. We have reported them to Real estate commission, travel and tourism bureau and Better Business Bureau with back up documents to support our claim.
Do not support this cabin and couple. Do not sign their contract that give you no rights to cancel or for refund for pandemic or natural disasters. Please help give zero stars for people that cheat and steal during a...
Read moreExcellent cabin! Super convenient location and close to everything important, but you'd never know it by how quiet it is. Check in was a breeze, and the owners are punctual with their responses.
Amenities were superb! There were snacks and water provided on the dining room table (which had place settings prepared!) Plenty of towels, and if you need to do laundry--plenty of soaps and detergents. The views were amazing! Hot tub was hot, and not over-chlorinated. The tap water/ is super chlorinated, so bring your own drinking water. Oh! The beds have baffle box feather bed toppers--if you've never heard of one or slept on one, you're missing out! This was just like a touch of home.
There were extra blankets and pillows. In one of the downstairs bedrooms there were toys for little kiddos (0-5 years) and a pack n'play! They have thought of everything. I do wish many rentals would allow you to leave your food items there for the next group (seasonings, unopened boxed goods, canned goods). However, I understand not trusting others.
We will stay here again in the Spring when we drive back to visit family up north.
If you decide to stay here, be sure to eat at Papa Ron's. It...
