We have visited the Meadow Trail at South Cumberland State Park multiple times now in every season and it never disappoints. My kids love it, even my teenager! The moment you step onto the trail it feels magical. Last year’s story along the path was a hit and we were so excited to see a brand new one this year. The kids enjoy reading as we walk and keeping an eye out for wildlife. Spring is my favorite season to visit with the flowers in full bloom and butterflies everywhere. The trail is always clean, just one mile long, and easy for families with younger children. There is a park and facilities available, but we always come just for the trail. But there are several playground areas at the welcome center for children to climb. The children's nature trail has several placards to read along the way.
