Congregation Beth Israel — Attraction in Monterey

First of all, I am not Jewish. My daughter had a report for a World Religions class, and visited to ask questions for the report. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. There is a real sense of community and family here. They have a beautiful thing going. We were very welcomed, everyone was kind, and we left feeling part of the family if but for a moment. Great synagogue! Came for Friday services and were greeted with open arms by the Rabbi and President of the congregation. We came from Texas to Monterrey CA for a conference. The services were wonderful and very different than our services at home which was a nice change of pace. Highly recommend if you are Jewish and want a place to go for services on either Friday night or Saturday morning...
