Lake Garfield Beach — Attraction in Monterey

One of my favorite local beaches and lakes. Parking is on the street ( careful backing up! ) and then you enter through the trees and there is lovely grass and a sand beach. It's never too crowded even in the Summer. There is a boat launch there as well and many people kayak and paddle board around the lake. It's a special lake shaped like an hour glass and a huge section opens up if you can paddle board over to the channel area. When I think of Summer in The Berkshires this is what I think of.
