Went there yesterday for the first time and was disappointed because their website said they were open. There were some mild rain storms but we knew it would stop so let the children play in the rain until we thought the sprinklers would be turned on when the rain stopped. We were joined by 6 other families who thought the same thing. They also saw it said open on their website and two of the families drove from pretty far away so their children could play in the sprinklers… two of us parents called to say there were several families there since their website said open and since the rain had stopped could they please turn them on, they said no at any point in the day if it rains they are kept off for the entire day. I said well you should put that on your website so ppl don’t drive so far. Ridiculous the director would not turn on. No lightning or...
Read moreWe’ve been to this park twice and the third time my baby came home with a terrible UTI. It is NOT clean. I watched as water ran through the concrete cracks with swirling protein film in it and several places on the pavement where food was spilled and never cleaned up. It’s very unsanitary. And so when I see little 1 & 2yo kids running around without one, it begs the question how safe is this water and how many kids have peed in it? What’s the filtration system like? Does anyone clean the pavement regularly?
Additionally, bathrooms were very dirty and not kid friendly (slippery wet metal ones high off the ground) the doors are extremely heavy.
A picky side note- it’s been there for years now and there’s still not much...
Read moreSplash pad hours were clearly posted until 7 pm on Monday. Arrived at 4 pm, and there was no splash. There is no sign of it being out of order, just no water. I'm very disappointed.
I was told the director shut down the water and left. The staff indicated they have no authority to make any decision once the director leaves. So what if he left and it started raining/lightning? Do they not have the power to turn the water off? I was also told there was no way to reach him. So why not leave instructions instead? Shut water off if rains, turn or leave on with no rain. Simple
It just doesn't make sense, especially if 5 other moms showed up after I did. We had all checked the weather and decided it was safe...
