Absolutely beautiful area for a walk or run! Multiple trail options. The ones I found were sun trail, woodland trail, and savanna trail. All were enjoyable. Probably added up to 4 or 5 miles total. Quiet and peaceful area with a few cool bridges. Old school house on the grounds that does tours each 1st Sunday of the month (seasonally). Visited 6/3/2025.

Love coming out here in the morning for breakfast or to break out my camping stove, SO green in the summer, very quiet! There are plenty of tables, a place for the kids, and a nice area for campers.

What a great spot. Stayed in their campground. $12 or $20 with electric. Shade or sunny spots. Big trees and nice lawn.

A great place with three trails; on the prairie, through the woods, and along Friends Creek. All trails are well-maintained and easy walks. FCC has done wonderful prairie restoration which is attracting pollinators of all sorts. We visited just when the Monarch butterfly migration started, and we could spot them everywhere. For those who want a large picnic area for a reunion, FCC...

Pete made us feel like part of his family, checking on us as it was out first outing in the camper. Shower house was super clean, not even so much as a dirty foot print. Plenty of spots and neighbors are very helpful as I only had a 25' water hose and needed 5' more to get to water. A 50' would have been great to have had. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SITE. ...

This is a great place to bring my boys...whether we stay a couple hours on the trails and playground or we stay camping for the weekend. The park grounds are immaculate and the restrooms are clean. My son's class came here recently on a cold day and when they arrived, the grounds keepers had a big fire going in the pavilion! And with plenty of fire wood...
