Lodge Park — Attraction in Monticello

Simple yet just enough for your daily needs. Has options to camp, and a paved/gravel road throughout that is about 1 mile long with side trails for hiking. Other inclusions: lake with benches, fishing options & horse trails (however I personally don't condone animal abuse or exploitation), playground, 2 locations for bathrooms, trash cans, parking, picnic tables, open areas for yard sports/games, and spots to cook over a fire. Road is closed to vehicles through winter until April 1st, however foot activities and biking is still allowed. Periodically one may ride horses through the horse trails, or just walk them. Easier yet, just cruise through the wooded areas in your car. Plenty of tables, restrooms, and trails to use. Came down here with some friends for the 4th of July celebration for the first time and it was busy. Food vendors, kids activities, and fireworks were the main attractions for the night.
