My girlfriend and I stayed here for New Year’s Eve, and this was 100% the BEST vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in. It’s not even close. Sheila and her family live on a beautiful ranch in a private, peaceful canyon, and we stayed in their cozy little cabin just right down the road. When we got there, they provided two incredibly helpful guides, one for the cabin and one for the canyon itself. It covered what was public and private land, where to go, what to explore, what farm animals we could play with/feed, and made us feel right at home, like we were one of the neighbors! The Cabin was beautiful and cozy and everything was absolutely perfect. On our last night there, we popped into the little lounge they had set up in a cave inside one of the canyon walls!    Read moreI can't imagine having anything but a memorable and relaxing time during a visit at this terrific, well-tended, interesting, unique, thoughtful little establishment. There are three different accommodations, and my boyfriend and I stayed at the delightful Montezuma Cabin--fulfilling a dream of mine to come back and stay there as a guest after having done a work exchange 10 years ago, pruning grape vines (with previous owners). The canyon itself is one of the most interesting places in Utah. A genuine treat of...

It's off the grid and quite remote but doesn't feel lonely because you can tell how much the hosts care about the property and sharing it with guests. We stayed in the bunkhouse, which is rustic in that there's no AC, so it can get warm (we were there on a hot weekend in early June), but the nearby cave lounge is cool and the bunkhouse cooled off with open windows at night.
I highly recommend the self-guided tour of Montezuma Canyon. There are several cliff dwelling ruins and rock art sites, and we saw a golden eagle along the way. This is an incredible...
