Montissippi County Park — Attraction in Monticello

Was a very pleasant experience. If you are booking for a nice, uncrowded place, you've found one. Would be a great place for kids as there is a playground. Lots of shade, and right by the river. Due to all of the snow we got this year, and the relatively narrow stretch of the river, the water was following quite fast. Fast enough where I not recommend swimming. It is a fairly good place to fish, and is great for a picnic. There is plenty of room for a large group of people, I'd say enough space for at least 50, or possibly 100 people. Great disc golf course installed. Made the trip up there from Bloomington just to play the course. But also seen there was some bank fishing available. Which is very cool for myself. I love both fishing and completely engulfed in disc golf. Used to be competitive enough to play tournaments. Pdga #45345. With that being brandished. I will say you got a great track with this course. Keep it evolving with elevated baskets moved from hole to hole to keel up with tje newer courses. As that is now showing up everywhere nowadays. Absolutely gorgeous AND accessible park. I've loved bringing clients here over the years - in EVERY season. Parking can be a little tough on busier holiday weekends in particular... but other than that, super easy to navigate and enjoy.
