Easier to get to by boat, four-wheel drive required to get there by vehicle, and the path is starting to get a little overgrown so scratches down the side are to be expected. Do not jump unless you have thoroughly swam around underwater. I found a big old tree just below the depth of water where you can't see it from above. Very clean spring water. Great place to take pictures. Maybe have a picnic.

Privileged to visit Sid Bell Falls today to get photos and work on a story about the falls’ recent renaming by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Emergency responders will now know where to go as the falls were commonly known by numerous different names. The location is usually accessible only on a boat. The lake is high so the cascading falls is less pronounced.

This place has many different names however it doesn't take away from the beauty of it. We took the trip from Lee's Ford Marina just to spend a few hours. It was worth the drive. However, this is probably a location to stop at during the week if you want to do a little exploring.

This is a great place to visit and spend a few hours, or just stop by and take in the sights. The lake was very high on our visit, so the actual water fall was only 2 inches. We anchored, enjoyed lunch, jumped off some rock shelves and took in the warm water and weather. Some of the crew took a stroll up the river. We will definitely come back in...
