Baldridge Park is a part of the expansive Riverbottom Park situated along the Uncompahgre River. If you come in via Apollo Road on the north side (tricky the first time) there is great shade for parking in the one-way section. Beautiful shaded area with picnic benches and pavillion by the river. Skateboard park, kids playgrounds. Cement walks in park. Watersports (aka 'kayak park') park is right there - fun to watch from the 'rock grandstands' or the bridge, especially in May/early June when the river is raging! Cross the river and lots of concrete paths following the river, perfect for walking, jogging, bicycling, skating. Dirt trails for mountain bikes, walking. A frisbee golf course. Connects with Cerise Park to the north: soccer fields, picnic areas, recently completed dog park, etc. Ample parking, easy access, well maintained. Awesome parks complex...

Disc Golf Course Review

If there's 18 baskets I wouldn't know. The course starts out on the other side of the bridge with a baby 190' first hole. From there you hike to top of the town (you can actually see all of Montrose and surrounding it's gorgeous)...and for me everything fell apart on 7 because I shanked it into oblivion and happened upon tee pad ten after. Played a couple more and then after 14 the course is just lost on me.

Tee pads have been reused and therefore labeled on the cement wrong, none of the baskets are marked with hole numbers and many of the tee pad maps are missing. If I had someone to show me this course all the way I'm sure I'd love it bunches....two of five...

Arguably this is Montrose's best public park with something for all ages. The keystone is an artificial white water area for surfing, kayaking, floating with inner tubes (sometimes referred to as River Bottom Park). Baldrige Park also contains a skateboarding arena, swings, picnic tables, and restrooms. Additionally you will find acres of green grass, a large pond with ducks and geese, as well as plenty of very mature shade trees. A paved bicycling path, which runs along the Uncompahgre River throughout Montrose, passes through this park. On the west side of the river are short hiking trails. Either recreate or relax!

Beautiful out of the city park. River is perfect. Wifi is great. Canadian ducks were calm and nice to see. All kinds of sports. Peaceful. Only draw back for me was the yellow jackets, the park service did have yellow jacket traps set up. Remember you want yellow jackets to keep termites under control.

This is a top quality park. Amenities include cleanish flush toilets, a million picnic tables, a lot of parking, and a nice wide path for biking or running that cross crosses the Uncompaghre River on cute little bridges. As the Aiel would say, here you can find water and shade.
