Let me start by saying that I went there with Blueberry Girl and a bag full of chicken. We had a little trouble finding the place because Beaver Grade Road lives up to its name and then some. Once we started following the arrows on the clearly marked signs we were able to enter the park with the luke warm chicken. We navigated past what must have been 10,000 people in the pavilion all over 10,000 years of age. We pulled over in the side of a grass. It's a Jeep thing. You didn't think I was gonna take Blueberry girl to the park in a Ford Focus did you? We headed down the path where all the planes fly over. I'll get back to them in a second. We passed the corporates sponsored fenced in outdoor pond and made our way over the rock scramble to blanket station where we camped out. By the time we had finished our chicken, it was almost time to leave. But that's when we noticed the mark of our very own blueberry boy on the tree. We couldn't help but think about him and how he wasn't there with us. This must have been the reason we left in a way that was different than how we entered. The band did play us some songs but was very expensive. I definitely would recommend Blueberry Park instead of Moon Landing. If you have a few stems and some chicken at home then you may as well just stay there. Needless to say, me and Blueberry girl will be back but we need a...

There are multiple playgrounds and swings and what not throughout the large park area, and each area is a bit different in activities and themes, so it's a good place for kids who get bored with smaller play areas. There are also sports courts throughout, including a cool little mini baseball/softball field near the one large playground.
Overall, it is big enough to keep any kid happy for a long while, as well as give any family some room if things start to feel too crowded in any of the areas. Definitely worth a stop if you are in or around the Moon area, and have kids who could use some outdoor fun and...
Β Β Β Read moreHave been a lifelong resident of the moon area and have soooooo many memories at moon park. It makes me sad that I can't share those now with my children. The park used to have awesome (and a lot more) equipment and now it's pretty lame. There used to be a summer fair type thing with rides and attractions and now it's just a 4th of July celebration that's always packed but with really nothing to do. I'll take my daughter on nice days but theres almost never other kids there, prolly bc there are plenty of better parks in the surrounding towns. You'd think with how high taxes are, they'd put more effort into a once amazing park. I miss the volleyball courts...
