Sault Sainte Marie Ranger District — Attraction in Moran Township

I enjoy the nature here. The are is so pretty in the fall. It's worth the trip to see the sites and go for a walk here. I would recommend not coming up on a busy weekend like a 3 or 4 holiday weekend. It is troublesome to sit in traffic for extra hours to get here if your traveling from a far distance. It usually adds an hour or more on those weekends each way. This area is one of the best around though and definitely worth of the drive and the time to look around. Rustic ( no on site water or electric). Fire pits, paved roads, clean bathrooms, no showers. Site assignment is confusing if you've never been there before. Look for a site, have to check lot posts for green and white signs that say OPEN,.....BUT READ THE FINE PRINT. Could say" for 2 days, or 14 days" but have to read the whole sign. We ended up moving TWICE after starting set up as signs were not clear. LESSON LEARNED if we go there again. Longest allowed stay is 14 days. Lots are large, wooded,...

This place is so off the grid, it was beautiful from the lake right next to the cabin to the cabin itself being so breathtaking.
