Lasselle Sports Park — Attraction in Moreno Valley

Sizable, well kept field with the added rarity of having a clean, washed bathroom ( still without paper and without all sinks, soap and water operational when I went ). The bathroom gets a bit more sleazy, depending uponnthe time of day and time of year you enter it. Of course, the best time to use it is in the early morning around 7am when the cleaning and janitor crew arrives, opens the gates and cleans the bathroom.

The track itself is an oval about 1.5 the size of most official tracks at 600 or so meters. Unfortunately the on field grass is dry only in patches, limiting the kinds of exercises one can do on the grass. Oftentimes the wet patches of grass aren't just "damp" but instead they're soggy, muddy, sucking at the bottom of your shoes wet. This track and the properly separated adjacent park are oftentimes used to run dogs. I love dogs, but I don't think they should be on the track because of their potential for disruption and their potential for going after the squirrels constantly scampering round the edge or perimeter...

This park is easy enough to find. Ample parking. Nice playground. Equipment is in good condition. Multiple levels to the playground equipment. I didn't go for the sports park, just went to have my kids play in the play area. Wood chips on playground floor. I wasn't too fascinated with this park because of the vulgar behavior from the kids that were there. I have a toddler and an almost teen and I definitely would not chose to bring my children here again and subject them to the behavior displayed by the majority of the children that were playing here. The things that came out their mouths. Wow! Some kids straight forward bullying others. At one point, I had to step in and insist that they stop picking on this one child calling him names like, "gay boy"! Following him and taunting him. While I understand I'm rating the park ..... this scene was part of the overall environment of the park itself. Hence...

It is a wonderful quiet peaceful Park. Parents can take their children to the playground or to the field or just have picnic at the table. The park is very safe you can see it overall view of it no hidden spots and lots of barbecue grills. On each of the tables it has a checkerboard made into it so you can play checkers or chess on each of the tables. The field is open for running exercising and track and field. On the weekend it is very busy for sports little leagues big leagues high schools. It is very lovely and peaceful to go run on the track and field or just go out there and relax enjoy the view and...
