The place is nice, but the Brownell Trust that administers the park is as ruthless as the right wing, old money, "so rich that you expect everything for free" as you can get, or even more so.

He did an amazing job, and they got far more than they ever should out of him for what they paid him.
Mind you, this man is originally from here, and he actually has a doctoral degree from a highly respected out of state university, and the degree has nothing to do with petroleum!

If you go in the spring, the blooming flowers and bird watching are the perfect afternoon escape. Be aware that this is a natural habitat, so expect to find lizards, spiders, snakes, and even an alligator or two. The walking trail is short, but well taken care of. Make sure you stop in and say hello to the lady who works there as she is always so friendly and a delight...
