This is a great beginner friendly mtb trail. There are no technical single track obstacles or difficult sections on this ride.

It's about a 10 mile loop if you string together both loops. I've always gone around clockwise going by the reservoir first, then making the single track climb to the top and back around to the parking lot.

The climb is about 950ft in elevation, but the grade is very shallow, not even requiring granny gear on my bike. It's easy to hammer out a quick loop. There is a 15 mph speed limit here, so watch out on the downhills if the rangers are around.

Large parking lot with bathroom and wash stations for washing hands. No potable water. Bring plenty of water to drink.

Sadly, there is no night riding here even though it would be perfect for it with headlights. $400 fine for riding after sunset, boo!

This is a mixed use bi-directional trail, so watch out for hikers, hikers with dogs, and ๐ŸŽ riders and other mtb riders. Always yield to the rider coming uphill against you. Always stop for horses and take your helmet off and ask if it is ok to pass or wait for the horse rider to wave you by. Courtesy is paramount and appreciated by other trail users and keeps the parks open to mtb riders. Always make sure that hikers hear you coming and don't just...

This is very popular with mtn bikers, and some trail runners. The basic loop is 8mi with no significant sustained climbing so riders of most fitness levels can do it. Itโ€™s a wider single track trail which is a good width for beginning and intermediate bikers.

The reason itโ€™s not 5 stars is that itโ€™s not pretty. Some ok views, but nothing special.

If your a hiker, itโ€™s not a bad loop, but be prepared for...

Very nice wild flower hiking trail in the spring to lisa kilough lookout. Narrow trail mostly all the way once you get about 1/2 mile away from the parking lot. Bicyclists will share the trail, but they are supposed to yield to hikers. It can get crowded with too many bikes, so that's the downside of hiking here. Also, not too much shade here so it can get quite warm. Bring...

Rancho San Vicente Open Space Preserve is a great preserve to go hiking or mountain biking at. There is a mix of single track and fire roads. The loop trail is a great trail to ride or hike and offers views of the surrounding landscape and lake, but has a fairly mellow climb in elevation.

I'm a new rider to the electric unicycle .I've been here on a bicycle, and I thought the trails were good. so my friend thought I should bring the EUC. We did a short ride, thankfully. I will return for a longer ride as my skills improve.
