Pros: The moment you drive into this course you notice how beautiful this piece of property is going to be. As you walk up to the practice green, you are welcomed by a gorgeous, scenic view that goes for miles. I have never seen many courses with the expansive view that this one affords and that, more than anything else, will be what I remember of this experience. The entirety of this course plays essentially on the slope of the same hill. You wind your way across it, down it, back up again, etc, but you never really leave this hillside. No matter where I was on this course, I couldn't help but gaze around at something scenic and photo-worthy. That included some nice creek bed, cool trees and lots of songbirds around.

I found the course, itself, to be a lot of fun. You absolutely need to use a lot of the tricks in your bag and will be playing on elevation all round. Everyone of us loves a good downhill throw and you get plenty of them here, including some that are big, sweeping shots semi-blind. Those type shots are exciting to throw and Dorsey offers several. They "tack" back and forth on the slope side quite often, but very few of those holes are truly flat. You are always throwing a bit up or downhill and watching to keep your disc from fading down a slope. Naturally as you throw downhill, you must reap what you sow, so you have to throw several uphill too. There are a few really elevated shots here that require some arm to par. They really crafted a course here that offers a little of everything. It's a nice, varied design.

They have concrete tees and two sets of them, so you can play shorts or longs. There are at least two baskets on every hole and some have a third that you could play. There was a bathroom in the park. The course was pretty well maintained. It's March as I write this, so I don't expect a perfect mow, but you can tell they keep it trimmed. I would imagine the course can make nice use of fairway and "rough" for tournaments. Cons: Yes, I loved the course design, but it's not perfect either. There are not many bomb shots here. Most everything is in a fairly obtainable range, which is a plus depending on your mood, but also means that the course doesn't have a lot of distance challenge. My biggest "complaint" might be that you never get that ski slope shot we all want. Yeah, there are plenty of downhill shots here, but the boomer is fun.

My biggest complaint about this course is the lack of good signage, including "instructions". There are tee signs on each tee, but only really distances. They offer "blue" and "yellow" tees. They are backwards of what I'd expect since Blue are short here and yellowish is long I guess.

There are blue and yellow baskets on every hole and some have a mystery white. There are multiple configurations on UDisc, but no idea how to match any of them to the tees and baskets. Everything is Par 3 so it's a trivial complaint to a degree, but I was often confused which one was my shot.

You definitely need to be prepared to haul some hill here. You will walk up hill a lot, including some steep moments where you'll do 10 floors over a hole or two. There didn't seem to be anywhere to get water to prepare for that, so bring some. Other Thoughts: The road in is gravel and seems to be one way, so...

Wednesday August 26th 2020 Tony and I went to Morgantown WV. We stopped at Burger King and took to Skyrock Shelter to have breakfast and then we took a small but steep hike up to Skyrock Boulders to get a gorgeous view and to climb and play on the rocks a little! Great free park to enjoy right off I-68 exit 1 make left onto Route 119 into Morgantown. Just past GoMart on the right is Fawley Ln. Great park for hiking, letting kids on playground, picnic, walking your dog or just reading a book and relaxing...enjoy!!!August 26th, 2020 Tony and I had a late lunch after a morning of hiking. Tony drank a few cold Budweisers and I had unsweetened tea with lemon. Tony ordered a Philly Cheese steak with fries and I ordered the Open Face Roast Beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. Our food was very good Service was great and friendly Definitely would eat here again and...

Stretch the calves before tackling this 18 hole disc golf course. Multiple concrete teepads on all holes with 1-3 baskets each (mostly 2). No set layouts on signage, so you can choose as you go. Signs could use maps on them so you know which basket corresponds to each distance listed.

The terrain takes you for some short, fun, downhill shots, daunting uphillers, and some treacherous hillside shots. Rollaways are pretty much a constant threat and they could get nasty. Footing can get slippery in wet/muddy conditions. Very good at using trees to its advantage, since much of it is open. Most teepads easy to find. Missing hole 7 in pictures. It's a 4.5 course that may be a work in progress, so...

Dorsey’s Knob is one of the highest public spots in Monongalia county. At Dorsey’s Knob you have a 360 degree view of the the Morgantown area. So, that makes this spot a great one for both sunrise and sunset. After a short uphill hike at Dorsey’s Knob, you reach a place called “Sky Rock.” It’s from this spot you can see for miles in all directions. Dorsey’s Knob is a 71-acre park with picnic areas, a disc golf course, and a pretty sweet children’s play ground. One of the unique art pieces at Dorsey’s Knob is this mosaic the locals call the “Spirit Wall.” Located in the Dorsey’s Knob parking lot, this 70+ foot long 18-panel mosaic tiled art mural honors the culture of the Native American.

The best time to visit this area is at sunset when is sky is full of colors!! From the top, you can see the entire sky... picture the sun setting on one side & you turn around to see the moon behind you!! Its truely breathtaking!! Also... Perfect place for a picnic! Or a quick break from the hustle & bustle of everyday life! The trail to the top rock is kind of steep, but you can enjoy the views from most areas of the park! They have restrooms & a pavilion you can rent for events! This "Spirit Wall" full of nature sceneries made from rock and GLASS is pretty awesome too! These pictures do it no justice!
