We just had our wedding here this past weekend and wanted to write this review while everything was still fresh in our minds (albeit a bit blurry still!) because the team at South Farms was so amazing and we are so grateful to them. We live in NYC and planning a wedding while out of state seemed a little daunting, but the whole team here is so professional, responsive, friendly and welcoming that we felt comfortable we'd be able to plan from afar. We really wanted an outdoor element to our wedding while still having modern amenities and South Farms was the only place that checked all of our boxes with its beautiful fields, mix of indoor/outdoor spaces, interesting history and features, exposed beams, modern bathrooms, temperature control, and a charming indoor/rain option. The spaces all have great bones with a lot of room to make things personal and unique, and we felt the staff was really open to working with us to achieve our particular aesthetic. Jennifer was very accommodating in the beginning with scheduling our tour and answering our initial questions, and as we got closer to the wedding we met our venue coordinator Sam, who is amazing. She kept us on track, was super friendly (and patient with our thousand questions, details and project ideas) and we always felt confident that things were going to go smoothly on our day no matter the situation. We felt pretty organized and on top of everything as the day was getting closer, but so many small things come up that you can't predict and Sam was calm and on top of everything - we are so grateful to her and the rest of the team that worked on our wedding day. No matter how well you prepare, the day moves fast, and you need a vendor team you trust. Not only was all of South Farms dependable, but most of our vendors were from their preferred list, and everything was executed exactly how we imagined. Even working within their preferred list, we still had lots of choices to personalize everything from the caterer, to the lighting, to the decor. All of our guests complimented how beautiful and unique the space was, and how well executed all of our details were (which is thanks to the SF team). There is probably a lot more we can say about our experience here, but we highly recommend this venue, and are already wondering how we can host another party at South...
Read moreI had my wedding here on October 10th, and wow just absolutely incredible! From start to finish, this wedding venue exceeded all my expectations. The responsiveness and organization were flawless, making the entire planning process so smooth and stress-free working with Sam the wedding coordinator, and Sarah the food & bev coordinator. The coordination on the day was seamless, and every detail was perfectly executed.
The venue itself is stunning, especially on a crisp fall day. The rustic charm combined with unique, beautifully designed spaces—like the loft upstairs and the smooth flow from cocktail hour to reception—created such a magical and warm ambiance. It felt intimate yet spacious, with so many charming spots to enjoy.
The food was nothing short of amazing! The cocktail hour featured a fun taco bar, smash burgers, and mac and cheese—all presented beautifully and tasting incredible. Then at the reception, the tuna was exceptional, and the filet mignons were cooked to perfection. Every bite was a delight. I had so many guests tell me that it was the best wedding food they ever had! I was so happy with it all.
The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. They truly went above and beyond to make my dream wedding day come true. I can't recommend this venue enough—if you want a perfect blend of rustic elegance, delicious food, and outstanding service, this is the place to be! Five stars...
Read moreWish I had a better experience so my review would be more positive. We had tickets to the Warren Haynes show on Sunday 11/1, and the weather couldn't have been worse. Obviously, I cannot blame South Farms for the weather, however I cannot understand why they did not reschedule after already rescheduling Friday and Saturday night shows due to light snow. I understand its rain or shine, but just because the temperature was just warm enough where the precipitation was in the form of rain and not snow didn't make it any better...in fact I think snow would have been more manageable. My wife was looking forward to this show since we bought the tickets and had to leave 20 mins in. No tents or umbrellas allowed...under the circumstances I would have made some exceptions. Should have seen the warning signs when the guy at the gate asked us if we had 4 wheel drive so that we could make it up the hill to the parking spot. We also witnessed wheelchair/handicap people pausing at the top of the hill as they wondered how they were going to make it to their assigned spot without falling or slipping in the mud. If your going to run a fair weather venue in unfair conditions I suggest making provisions for these types of scenarios rather than just taking the money and running. Very...
