I have a lot of fond memories in this park. There are play areas for children, a covered picnic area where large groups can plan barbecues or get-togethers. The park has a lovely view of the lake, a boat launch, and some permanent restrooms as well (though they're about as nice as you can expect park bathrooms in a small town to be).
This is a great park to visit and play at during the day, but after dark, its not very inviting. The area isn't well lit, and at night its a fairly frequented area for individuals who -- often for sketchy reasons -- want privacy. As long as you visit the park during the day, or with a large group, there's nothing to worry about.
