Crossing the threshold from Florida into Mississippi, the weary traveler is greeted by a rest area that stands as a beacon of reprieve on the western journey. This sanctuary, amidst the vast expanse of the open road, is awarded a commendable four stars for its overall embrace and the solace it provides.

The rest area itself unfolds like a tranquil haven, offering a momentary pause from the relentless pursuit of the horizon. Its external environs, a blend of natural beauty and thoughtfully arranged spaces, invite one to stretch, breathe, and momentarily detach from the confines of the journey.

However, within this oasis, the men's bathroom slightly dims the luster of an otherwise sterling experience. While it serves its purpose, the call for a more rigorous adherence to cleanliness cannot go unheeded. It is in these details that a place reveals its true commitment to hospitality and comfort.

Despite this minor detraction, the overall ambiance of the rest area remains largely untarnished. It serves as a testament to the simple pleasures that a well-appointed pause along one's travels can provide. With a little more attention to the finer points of maintenance, this waypoint could easily transcend its current standing, offering not just a break in the journey but a memorable chapter in the tapestry of the...

Full access is currently being suspended due to the pandemic. You will be welcomed by two friendly attendants and a three table blockade at the Main entrance. Masks are required to access the building from any entrance. Both side entrances are fully open for the Men's and Ladies bathrooms. There are some wonderful wood sculptures there as well. The ladies who were working at the time I visited provided wonderfully helpful information about the man who sculpted the reclaimed word from hurricane Katrina.

This information also included a travel destination from Biloxi, Mississippi through Gulfport, Mississippi to New Orleans, Louisiana where more sculpted trees are said to line the roadway. This was a wonderful visit for me even with the limited access due to the pandemic. Thank...

Pretty nice place to stop if you've been driving forever.(Not this time!)Well, there was a bit of an error here about 3 weeks ago. I was waiting for this lady, and she put in the amount that was needed in the vending machine(or so she thought.). But it turns out that it was actually one less quarter that she put in it's worth, so the vending machine had just taken one of the quarters that she put in! It was too late to get it back out so she just got what she wanted, warned us about it, and walked away to her car. Please fix this, whomever is the owner of the rest stop! (By the way i know that there is a take accidental money out here button but she tried it and it didn't work.) I hope that woman's day got better! Hoping to get information back if they fixed it already! Thanks if you...

I know the difference between well water and pee water. Every toliet was not flushed. It was heavy yellow in color. Some seats were dirty. I opted to use the men’s room which was slightly cleaner. An attendant did check them while I was there but all they did was flush the toliets, and check the paper towels. The vending machines worked without issue. However, where you pickup your food was dirty. I ended up having to wash and sanitize both my hands and snacks. Very limited drink options. I only saw coke products. I came on a Sunday, so maybe that’s the reason. But I think I’d skip this place again when driving through. A gas station is cleaner option.
