Beautiful area! The trails themselves leading to the falls can be somewhat difficult to find at first- they’re accessed by going onto the grounds of the Castle in the Clouds, and though there’s a map at the welcome desk to the castle lodge, it’s a little tricky finding exactly where the trail starts, as there aren’t very many signs telling you where to go. Once on the trail however, the path is clearly marked with reflective white squares pinned to various trees along the way. After you enter the trail, there are two paths that seem to ultimately lead to the same place, being the final waterfall. One, which has you closely follow the creek, takes you by all seven of the falls, rapids, and cascades, which are marked both with the trail markers and with placards telling you the name and some history around each set of falls, which grow in size and height as you wind your way down. This path is a bit of a more arduous walk, though it isn’t very long, as the terrain can get a bit steep and rugged, and thusly this particular path wouldn’t be very good for those with limited mobility or balance. The walk to the final, largest waterfall is only a little over a mile, and is a breathtakingly beautiful walk. Our dog had as much fun as we did, hopping through the water and jumping on the rocks in the sometimes surprisingly deep pools of refreshing water that gathers at the bottom of each waterfall. This place is totally gorgeous, and is well worth stopping by for those with an hour or...
